Cold Forming

Cold forming is an established metalworking technology that can be both cost-effective and environmentally friendly. It can be used across different industrial sectors including transportation, automotive, aerospace, agriculture, and mining, as well as medical technology.

Lien-Ya can make up to Ø50mm parts.

Precision CNC Machining

CNC (computer numerical control) is the automation of machine instruments through the use of computers which have been programmed to execute any number of commands.  From wood routing to laser cutting and 3D printing, there are CNC machines for nearly every commercially utilized manufacturing process and application. Precision CNC machining works with a variety of materials including metals, woods, acrylics, foams, and thermoplastics.

Lien-Ya has over 60 lathes in house for turning.

Milling

Milling is the process of machining using rotary cutters to remove material by advancing a cutter into a workpiece.
This may be done varying direction on one or several axes, cutter head speed, and pressure.
Milling covers a wide variety of different operations and machines, on scales from small individual parts to large, heavy-duty gang milling operations.
It is one of the most commonly used processes for machining custom parts to precise tolerances.

Grinding​

Grinding is a type of abrasive machining process which uses a grinding wheel as cutting tool.
In Lien-Ya, we have both of external and center-less grinders for various requirements.

Drilling

Drilling is a cutting process that uses a drill bit to cut a hole of circular cross-section in solid materials. The drill bit is usually a rotary cutting tool, often multi-point. The bit is pressed against the work-piece and rotated at rates from hundreds to thousands of revolutions per minute. This forces the cutting edge against the work-piece, cutting off chips (swarf) from the hole as it is drilled.

Thread Rolling​

Thread rolling is a type of threading process which involves deforming a metal stock by rolling it through dies.
This process forms external threads along the surface of the metal stock. Internal threads can be formed using the same principle, specifically termed thread forming.
In contrast with other widely used threading processes such as thread cutting, thread rolling is not a subtractive process.
This means it does not remove metal from the stock.
The rolled threaded fasteners offer advantages such as stronger threads, precise final dimensions, good surface finish, and a lower coefficient of friction.
